JAMA Pediatrics is the oldest continuously published pediatric journal in the country. It began publication as the American Journal of Diseases of Children in 1911, changed its name to the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine in 1994, and was renamed JAMA Pediatrics in 2013. It is an international peer-reviewed journal published 12 times per year. In 2011 as the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, the impact factor was 4.14. The editor is Frederick P. Rivara, MD, MPH, the Seattle Children's Guild Endowed Chair in Pediatrics and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington, Seattle.
