JAMA Pediatrics is the oldest continuously published pediatric journal in the country, dating back to 1911. It is an international peer-reviewed journal published 12 times per year; the online version is published on the first Monday of the month, with new online content published every Monday. The acceptance rate is 23%. The average time from acceptance to publication is 6.1 months. The journal’s 2015 Impact Factor is 7.148, the highest ranked general pediatrics journal. The editor of JAMA Pediatrics is Frederick P. Rivara, MD, MPH, the Seattle Children's Guild Endowed Chair in Pediatrics and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington, Seattle.
